The Coordinated Digital Strike
It all started when my manager, Taha Sadaqat, received a threat on his Instagram by a fake account with the name of "Sana_Samir_91" on 21.02.2018. The threat read as follows: "And I must say you are going to have a lot of work on your hands when we all take your pervert client to the cleaners close to his movie release. Enjoy.".
After this, we started noticing that various fake accounts were made on Instagram and Twitter to start a defamatory campaign against me. These had started emerging approximately 6 to 7 weeks in the months of February and March. Few prominent fake accounts are "Sana_Samir_91", "Sid_Hassan67", "Sallzjay22", and "Deenz82". The most important and active account out of all these is an account name "Neha Saigoll," which posted over three thousand defamatory tweets against me in one year.
At 01:19 P.M. on 19.04.2018, another account by the name of "Sofi" tweeted accusing me. This account was immediately confronted by Shaukat Khanum's official representation, Miss Naila Khan, who tweeted back saying the event described never happened. This tweet was deleted after being confronted.
At 03:45 P.M., Meesha Shafi falsely accuses me of harassment. At 03:56 P.M., Miss Hamna Zubair is able to write a complete article and also published it in Dawn.com. It is interesting to see that a full article was written, approved, edited, and published within a span of eleven minutes.
